Rangatahi Co-Chair
Thomas is a clinical medical student undertaking a BMedSci(Hons) research year in population health. He is president of the New Zealand Medical Students’ Association.
Thomas is involved with Koi Tū because he believes an effective nexus between decision-makers, academics, and the public is critical to turn transformative ideas into actionable, concrete changes that benefit people and the planet.
"I see my role as shining the lens of a young person’s reality onto Koi Tū’s work. I'm particularly keen to elevate rangatahi who may have the greatest insights to offer, but who face structural barriers in having their voices heard in spaces of influence."
