Koi Tū community recognised in King’s Birthday Honours 

Congratulations to members of the Koi Tū community recognised in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours. 

• Wayne Wright, a major philanthropic supporter of Koi Tū through the Wright Family Foundation, was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to education and philanthropy.
• Distinguished Professor Emeritus Paul Spoonley, a Koi Tū honorary fellow, was also appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to sociology.
• Dr Nina Hood, Koi Tū honorary fellow and education expert, was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to education.
