Andrew Poole appointed as CEO

We are pleased to announce the next stage of development for Koi Tū.

In the 15 months since we became independent as a charitable trust, we have grown considerably. To support the organisation’s next phase of growth, we’ve created a new role of CEO.

Sir Peter Gluckman will continue as Director of Research and Policy, overseeing the intellectual and policy contributions of Koi Tū to New Zealand’s development. He is delighted that Andrew Poole has accepted the invitation to serve as interim CEO. Andrew brings more than 30 years’ leadership experience including as a chair, board member, chief executive, and law firm partner. 

The new leadership structure reflects Koi Tu’s evolution from a start-up to a more established organisation. It allows the organisation’s research and policy leadership to focus on the research, analysis, and public contribution for which Koi Tū is known, while a dedicated CEO leads business operations and strengthens the organisation’s long-term sustainability.

Our purpose, independence, and commitment to applying evidence and knowledge in the public interest remain unchanged.
