Dr Felicia Low

Research Fellow


Felicia has worked closely with Sir Peter Gluckman on both academic research and Chief Science Advisor-related activities since 2008. Her work has spanned basic research through to policy-informing evidence syntheses. She has made conceptual contributions and produced critical reviews in the fields of evolutionary medicine, developmental epigenetics, and the developmental origins of health and disease. She has also lead-authored and co-authored government-commissioned reports with a public health focus.

At Koi Tū: The Centre for Informed Futures, Felicia is leading the centre’s Knowledge Hub, an initiative bringing an interdisciplinary approach to maternal and child health research (see list of Evidence Briefs). She also has interests in youth wellbeing and community health.

A biochemist by training, Felicia holds a PhD in Pathology from the University of Otago, Christchurch.
